Chapter 8: Part I: Using the Harmonic Minor Scale
The Harmonic Minor scale is yet another tool for improvisation. The beauty of this scale is that just like the Melodic Minor scale it is made up of seven modes. If you remember your college music theory the formula for the harmonic minor scale is shown below.
C D Eb F G Ab B C (the third and sixth are lowered but the 7th is raised)
